8/10 … Wu-Tang Clan is my all-time favourite hip hop act and Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon and GZA are all on my top 10 list of favourite rappers…..
After the murder of George Floyd, We the 99% of the people MUST join together, no matter what your skincolour, gender, age, sexuality are. We have had enough with the killing of black people. This is NOT a right vs. left question, this is a ”we the 99%”, that are ruled by the few psychopaths […]
Don’t much to say about this one lyricswise, but here are the mighty Redman showing his greatness with more or less just one long flow. This is one of these rare tracks that I can listen to repeat over and over again without getting tired of it. And it was only released on a mixtape back in 2014 …..
On a sunny summerday, or more precise on the 11th of August 1973 at 1520 Sedgwick Ave, South Bronx, New York. DJ Kool (Clive Campbell) Herc’s Back To School Jam spawned the culture that we now know as Hip-Hop. This all started when his younger sister, Cindy Campbell, became inspired to earn extra cash for […]

This session is simply amazing, pure joy!, all smiles, laughter and having fun for 57 minutes. I just had an awesome time in their company with a big smile all over my face. Few persons in the Grime scene or Hip Hop is as charismatic as Kano. Giggs is the first guest and then they […]
6,6/10 … This is a digital release compilation release only if I got it right. Although it’s a compilation, so all the tracks have been released before on separate 12″. There are several amazing tracks, but unfortunately even some that doesn’t entice me ……
10/10 … Amazing documentary about life in New York 1977. This is my #1 place I would go to if I knew how to time travel. I have always loved decadence, it gives me for some reason the feeling of being alive. Here we get to take a trip through the evolution of Hip Hop, with among others KRS-One and Afrika Bambaataa, through porn star Annie Sprinkle and the XXX live shows on 42nd street. The disco scene, the gay scene, the grafitti movement, the serial killer Son of …..
Yes, I know! Liking System of a Down is not cool by the insecure crowd, you know the ones who always wait for someone with an authority on the topic to say something so they can all think a like. Like sheeps going to slaughter. To me System of a Down have always had a unique sound and lyrics that matters. Just listen to this and focus on the lyrics. A masterpiece!
I’m probably stepping on someones toes right now when I want to call this “Industrial Rock”, it probably belongs to some subgenre I don’t even know exists (but want to discover more of). I discovered them by “accident”, when I opened up YouTube and someone I subscribed to had uploaded this and it was on […]
Tom Ellis from the Netflix (used to be Fox) TV show ”Lucifer” have some magical moments in front of the piano. Please give us a whole album!!!
8/10 … I guess this goes under the Dark Ambient banner, but to be Dark Ambient is about the end times, occultism or just plain darkness. So in my world this goes under Icy Ambient … meaning you get totally other feelings and images in your head. To me this takes me to a small cabin in the winter landscape of northern Europe, Canada or Alaska. Trapped inside with a snowstorm raising hell outdoors.
8/10 Year: 2005Genre: Dark AmbientLabel: Supernal Music Dark Ages is a dark ambient project by Roman Saenko from Ukraine, main member of black metal bands Drudkh and Hate Forest. ”Twilight of Europe” is the first full-length album from 2005. They have released four albums to this date, with the last one in 2013. I love […]
9/10 … The opening tracks “Beatnik Boy” and “My Best Friend” are just amazing pop songs, and after that the party just keeps going. You will have a big smile all over your face and it’s hard to sit still. This should be the template of how soft pop should be made. Fantastic stuff, with stand-out tracks like “Beatnik Boy”, “My Best Friend”, “Don’t Go Away” and “Testcard Girl”.
A Channel 4 special of about 8 hours, divided into 7 parts. Unfortunatly part 4 is missing. I hope they will re-upload that one. The hosts are kind of cheezy, but it’s a awesome time capsule of the era. At the bottom you find a concert with Oasis and one With Pulp from that very […]
