We have had enough … Stop Killing Black People [aka Moby ”That’s When I Reached For My Revolver”

After the murder of George Floyd, We the 99% of the people MUST join together, no matter what your skincolour, gender, age, sexuality are. We have had enough with the killing of black people. This is NOT a right vs. left question, this is a ”we the 99%”, that are ruled by the few psychopaths with money. This epidemic of racially biased police shootings of black men MUST STOP NOW!!!

Two new studies from 2019 have revived the long-running debate over how police respond to white criminal suspects versus African Americans. In the U.S., African Americans are 2.5 times more likely to be killed by police than white people. For black women, the rate is 1.4 times more likely.

That’s according to a new study conducted by Frank Edwards, of Rutgers University’s School of Criminal Justice, Hedwig Lee, of Washington University in St. Louis’s Department of Sociology, and Michael Esposito, of the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research. The researchers used verified data on police killings from 2013 to 2018 compiled by the website Fatal Encounters, created by Nevada-based journalist D. Brian Burghart. Under their models, they found that roughly 1-in-1,000 black boys and men will be killed by police in their lifetime. For white boys and men, the rate is 39 out of 100,000.

In fact, people of color in general were found more likely to be killed by police than their white counterparts.

That’s When I Reached For My Revolver!

This version by Moby (Original by Mission to Burma)

Once I had my heroes
Once I had my dreams
But all of that is changed now
The truth begins again
The truth is not that comfortable, no
Mother taught us patience
The virtues of restraint
Father taught us boundaries
The knowledge we must go
I’m trying to protect my unity

That’s when I reach for my revolver
That’s when it all gets blown away
That’s when I reach for my revolver

The spirit passes by this way
A friend of mine once told me
His one and only aim
To build a giant castle
And in it sign his name
Sign it with complete community

That’s when I reach for my revolver
That’s when it all gets blown away
That’s when I reach for my revolver
The spirit passes by this war

Now that the sky is empty
And that is nothing new
Instead they look upon us
When they tell me
That we’re nothing
I say!

That’s when I reach for my revolver
That’s when it all gets blown away
That’s when I reach for my revolver
The spirit passes by this way

That’s when I reach for my revolver
That’s when it all gets blown away
That’s when I reach for my revolver
The spirit passes by this way
