Here I collect every short review I made on Comedy movies. To see another genre look at the index page. You find it here!
I’m the type of persons who hates spoilers, I more or less never watch trailers and don’t want to know anything about the movie more than the basic plot. So in that vein is also my reviews. They are more of short things that maybe can wake someones interest and make them discover the movie themselves.
Set in the midst of the 2009 housing crisis, this darkly comedic story follows Cassie Fowler, a single mom and struggling realtor whose life goes off the rails when she witnesses a murder.
Book Smart (2019)
On the eve of their high school graduation, two academic superstars and best friends realize they should have worked less and played more. Determined not to fall short of their peers, the girls try to cram four years of fun into one night.
Awesome comedy that for me came out of nowhere. Funny as hell and I loved that although they are A grade students, they are not pictured as bullied or “losers”, but really strong females that’s not afraid to take their place.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)
A faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood’s Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.
I really like Tarantino and enjoy all his movies, although Pulp Fiction is still my favourite. Leonardo DiCaprio is a solid actor but he have never really been a selling point for me. Brad Pitt on the other hand is always great. Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate is fantastic. Tarantinos movies are always dialogue heavy and so is this case. Sometimes I lose interest in his movies nowdays if the dialogue are too long since they’re not Pulp Fiction quality anymore. I was about to give this a 7/10 rating, but since I loved the ending it goes up to a 8/10.
